O.K.E.Y. — Only Kind of Evolved Yet ("the game", "we") is a single-player number-sorting game developed by an independent developer. This page explains what data the game collects, why, and how you can remove it.
What we store
Your game progress is tied to an anonymous account (no email, name, or phone number is ever required):
- Account A username (from Game Center/Google Play Games if you sign in, or an automatically generated guest name if you do not), level progress, best score, unlocked themes and power-ups, achievements, streaks.
- Performance In-game reaction/accuracy history, used only to show your own performance trend inside the app.
What is public
To support the leaderboard and the nearby-player card feature, a small public profile is stored: your display name, avatar, best score, level, theme, streak, skill rating, a few gameplay statistics and achievement counts. This profile and the leaderboard can be read by anyone using the game, without signing in. It is never your real name or any private data. Usernames are checked automatically for offensive language and must be unique; the global leaderboard lists every player (guests included) by username and best score.
Third-party services
- Google AdMob Shows ads. On iOS, ad personalization only happens after you grant App Tracking Transparency permission and, where required by law (EEA/UK/Switzerland), after you consent through Google's own consent form.
- RevenueCat Processes in-app purchases (e.g. removing ads, unlocking themes). We never see or store your payment details. That is handled entirely by Apple/Google and RevenueCat.
- Firebase (Google) stores your anonymous account data and powers optional cross-device sync and analytics.
- Diagnostics Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google) collect app crashes, errors, frame pacing and launch time anonymously. This data is not linked to your account, username or advertising ID.
- Game Center (Apple) is used for leaderboards and achievements if you choose to sign in.
Bluetooth
The "nearby player" card-trading feature uses Bluetooth only while you are scanning on that screen (an exchange that has already started can take up to about 30 seconds to finish) and only to exchange your public player card with a device near you: a random account ID (not your Apple ID), your display name, your avatar (your Game Center photo or one of the built-in avatars), best score, streak, theme, skill rating and the six skill stats shown on your card (speed, reflex, accuracy, focus, attention, endurance). This data is not encrypted and can be received by nearby devices running the game. Nothing is sent anywhere in the background.
Deleting your data
Open Settings → Privacy and Permissions → Reset Profile inside the game at any time. This permanently deletes your account progress, public profile, and performance history from our servers, and resets the app on your device. This cannot be undone.
Children
O.K.E.Y is a general audience game. Players of many ages enjoy it, including children. It is not marketed specifically to children, and no account requires a name, email, or phone number to play. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child's data, contact us below and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
